Published Baltimore hair transplant prices, grouped by graft band

A total of 3 Baltimore clinics post hair transplant prices on their own sites. A clinic is counted once in each row, using its lowest price for that row, though it may appear in several rows.

What the clinic pricesClinicsMedianMiddle of the range
Package, graft count not stated3$5,000$4,000–$6,000

Using European Central Bank reference rates from November 3, 2026, we captured each clinic's stated prices in US dollars from its own pages. If fewer than four clinics publish, “Middle of the range” covers the full range; otherwise, it covers the middle half. Each clinic’s profile uses its own wording for packages that may include hotel and transfers. ECB rates.

Crusts usually clear by day 7–10 after FUE, which leaves no linear scar in the donor area (Front Med 2026 review). Among 820 advanced FUE cases, scalp harvest averaged 2,956 grafts per case (Chouhan 2019). These counts come from clinics here that name the method on their own site.

Published cases: Norwood stage and graft counts

Male hair loss is graded on the Norwood scale, from I (none) through VII (only a band remaining at the back and sides). In two published series, surgeons used these graft counts, and none of them is a quote for your scalp.

The stage by itself does not set the number. One study assigned Norwood 3V to two men who needed 3,900 and 6,150 grafts after their bald areas were measured (Pittella et al., 2024); any quote before your scalp is measured is a guess.

Before you book, settle these five points

  1. Ask who handles each step, including making incisions, taking grafts and placing the grafts. After getting the names, check each one with your state medical board, or check every state at once with DocInfo.
  2. Request a written plan that lists the graft count, target zones, and cost for that count.
  3. Ask the clinic to show you its own patients at 12 months, keeping the light and angle the same. Results appear at six to nine months for most people, while some see them at 12 (AAD).
  4. Ask what happens when growth is poor, including whether a second session is covered and how long that offer lasts.
  5. Include medicine, follow-up visits, travel, time off work, and the procedure in your first-year price.
