Hair transplant prices published in Columbus, by graft band

On their own sites, 2 Columbus clinics publish a hair transplant price. A clinic is counted only once in each row, using its lowest price there. It may appear in several rows.

What the clinic pricesClinicsMedianMiddle of the range
Package, graft count not stated2$4,200$4,000–$4,400

Every price is shown the way its clinic writes it, taken from the clinic's pages and expressed in US dollars. The reference rates of the European Central Bank for November 3, 2026 apply. “Middle of the range” means the middle half of clinics. When fewer than four publish, it shows the full range. A package may include a hotel and transfers. Each profile gives the clinic’s own wording. ECB rates

FUE graft extraction from the donor area at the back of the scalp

Methods and how many local clinics offer them

MethodClinicsHow grafts are takenDonor area afterwards
FUE4Each follicular unit is taken on its own using a small, round punch.Small dot scars are spread across the donor area, with no line.

DHI0The clinic’s own term for FUE using an implanter pen to place graftsAs FUE
FUT4Scalp removed as a strip, then cut into units while viewed under a microscope. One linear scar, and hair above it usually hides it.
Robotic1FUE with a robot-guided punchAs FUE

FUE leaves no linear donor scar, and by day 7–10 crusts have usually cleared (Front Med 2026 review). Across 820 advanced FUE cases, scalp harvest averaged 2,956 grafts per case (Chouhan 2019). These counts cover local clinics that name the method on their own sites.

Norwood stage and graft counts in published cases

Male hair loss runs from I (none) to VII, meaning a band only at the back and sides, on the Norwood scale. Surgeons actually used these graft counts in two published series. They are not a quote for your scalp.

The stage by itself does not determine the number. One study graded two men as Norwood 3V, and once their bald area was measured they needed 3,900 and 6,150 grafts (Pittella et al., 2024). Any quote given before anyone measures your scalp stays a guess.

Five points to settle before you book

  1. Find out who handles each step, including the incisions, graft removal, and graft placement. Get the names, then check each person with your state medical board or use DocInfo to check every state at once.
  2. Ask for a written plan covering graft count, zones, and the price for that count.
  3. Ask the clinic to show you its own patients at 12 months, using the same light and angle. Results appear for most people at six to nine months, and for some at 12, based on AAD information.
  4. Ask about poor growth and the clinic’s response, including whether a second session is included and how long that offer lasts.
  5. Price the whole first year, including the procedure, medicine, travel, follow-up visits and time off work.
