Published prices for hair transplants in Denver, by graft band
On their own site, 3 Denver clinics publish a hair transplant price. In every row, a clinic counts once at its lowest price there. More than one row may include the same clinic.
| What the clinic prices | Clinics | Median | Middle of the range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Package, graft count not stated | 3 | $7,500 | $5,000–$12,000 |
Each clinic provides the prices in its own wording on its website. Amounts appear in US dollars using European Central Bank reference rates from November 3, 2026. “Middle of the range” covers the middle half of clinics. If fewer than four publish, it represents the full range instead. Hotels and transfers may be part of a package. Each profile shows that clinic’s own wording. ECB rates.
Use the cost calculator to work out a published price range based on your own graft count in United States.

The methods local clinics offer and the number providing each
| Method | Clinics | How grafts are taken | Donor area afterwards |
|---|---|---|---|
| FUE | 7 | Each follicular unit is taken separately using a small round punch. | Small dot scars appear across the donor area, with no line. |
| Sapphire FUE | 0 | The clinic’s own label for FUE, with sapphire-tipped blades used for the recipient cuts | As FUE |
| DHI | 0 | A clinic's own name for FUE, where an implanter pen places the grafts | As FUE |
| FUT | 3 | A scalp strip is removed and divided into units under a microscope. | Usually, one linear scar is hidden by the hair above it. |
| Robotic | 0 | FUE with a robot-guided punch | As FUE |
Crusts usually clear by day 7–10 with FUE, which leaves no linear donor scar (Front Med 2026 review). The average scalp harvest per case was 2,956 grafts in 820 advanced FUE cases (Chouhan 2019). Only clinics whose own site names the method are counted here.
Norwood stage and the graft counts in published cases
On the Norwood scale, male hair loss ranges from I (none) to VII (a band only at the back and sides). These are graft counts taken from two published series in which surgeons actually used them. They are not a quote for your scalp.
| Norwood stage | Grafts used | Men |
|---|---|---|
| II | 500–1,000 | 15 |
| III | 1,000–1,800 | 63 |
| IV | 1,500–3,300 | 67 |
| V | 1,500–4,000 | 13 |
Source: Wang et al., BMC Surgery 2024, table 2, on 158 men treated with FUE.
| Stage V–VII, area covered | Average grafts | Men |
|---|---|---|
| Front only | 2,982 | 308 |
| Front and mid-scalp | 4,164 | 352 |
| Crown only | 2,770 | 24 |
| Full coverage | 6,237 | 100 |
Source: 820 men at stage V–VII, Chouhan et al., J Cutan Aesthet Surg 2019, table 2.
The stage by itself does not set the number. Two men in one study were graded Norwood 3V, and after their bald areas were measured they needed 3,900 and 6,150 grafts (Pittella et al., 2024). A quote offered before your scalp is measured is a guess.
Before you book, settle five things
- Ask about each step in turn: who makes the incisions, who takes the grafts, and who places them. Collect the names, then check each one with your state medical board, or check all states at once on DocInfo.
- Ask for a plan in writing: the graft count, the zones, and the price for that count.
- Please ask the clinic to show you its own patients at 12 months, with the lighting and angle unchanged. Results are visible at six to nine months for most people, and some become visible at 12 (AAD).
- Find out whether a second session is included if growth is poor, and how long that coverage lasts.
- Price the whole first year, including travel, time off work, the procedure, medicine and follow-up visits.
