Because only one checked clinic in Jacksonville posts what a hair transplant costs on its own site, Jacksonville still has no price table. The profile lists its price.

FUE graft extraction from the donor area at the back of the scalp

Methods offered and how many local clinics provide them

MethodClinicsHow grafts are takenDonor area afterwards
FUE6One follicular unit at a time, taken with a small round punchScars in the donor area appear as small dots, with no line
Sapphire FUE0The clinic’s own term for FUE, using sapphire-tipped blades for the recipient cutsAs FUE
DHI0The clinic’s own term for FUE, placing grafts with an implanter penAs FUE
FUT5Scalp is removed in a strip and divided into units under a microscopeA single linear scar, with hair above it usually covering it
Robotic1FUE with a robot-guided punchAs FUE

No linear donor scar comes with FUE, and by day 7–10 the crusts are usually gone (Front Med 2026 review). Researchers reported an average scalp harvest of 2,956 grafts per case among 820 advanced FUE cases (Chouhan 2019). Only clinics whose own site names the method are counted here.

Norwood stage and the graft counts used in published cases

Male hair loss is rated from I (none) to VII on the Norwood scale, when only a band remains at the rear and sides. Surgeons actually used these graft counts in two published series. They are not a quote for your scalp.

The stage by itself does not decide the number. One study measured the bald areas of two men graded Norwood 3V. They needed 3,900 and 6,150 grafts (Pittella et al., 2024). Before measuring your scalp, any quote is a guess.

Before you book, settle five points.

  1. Ask who handles each step: the incisions, the graft removal and the placement. Find each clinician’s name, then verify it through your state medical board or check all states together with DocInfo.
  2. Ask for a written plan with the number of grafts, the zones, and what that number costs.
  3. Ask to view patients treated by the clinic at 12 months, using the same light and angle. Results show up for most people at six to nine months, and for some at 12 (AAD).
  4. If growth is poor, ask whether a second session is included and how long that offer lasts.
  5. Add up all the costs for the first year: the procedure, medicine, travel, follow-up visits and time off work.
