Published Phoenix hair transplant prices, grouped by graft band
Each of 3 clinics in Phoenix posts its hair transplant price on its own site. A clinic is counted once in each row, using its lowest price for that row, and the same clinic may show up in several rows.
| What the clinic prices | Clinics | Median | Middle of the range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per graft | 2 | $3.10 | $2.99–$3.20 |
| Package, graft count not stated | 1 | $2,500 | $2,500 |
Prices come from each clinic's own pages and keep the wording that clinic uses. They are shown in US dollars at reference rates from the European Central Bank of November 3, 2026. When fewer than four clinics publish, “Middle of the range” shows the full range; otherwise it shows the middle half of clinics. A package may include hotel and transfers. Each clinic’s wording appears on the profile. ECB rates.
The cost calculator shows the published price range for your graft count in United States.

The methods here, and how many clinics offer each one
| Method | Clinics | How grafts are taken | Donor area afterwards |
|---|---|---|---|
| FUE | 10 | A small round punch removes single follicular units one at a time. | Small dot scars across the donor area, with no line |
| Sapphire FUE | 2 | The clinic's own term for FUE using sapphire-tipped blades to make the recipient cuts | As FUE |
| DHI | 3 | The clinic's own term for FUE where an implanter pen places the grafts | As FUE |
| FUT | 7 | A strip of scalp is removed, then cut into units under a microscope | A single linear scar, usually covered by hair above it |
| Robotic | 3 | FUE with a robot-guided punch | As FUE |
Crusts usually clear by day 7–10 after FUE, which leaves no linear scar in the donor area (Front Med 2026 review). Across 820 advanced FUE cases, scalp harvest averaged 2,956 grafts per case (Chouhan 2019). Among the clinics here, the counts cover only those whose own sites name the method.
Norwood stages and graft counts in published cases
The scale called Norwood rates male hair loss from I (none) through VII (just a strip of hair along the back and sides). Two published series reported these graft counts used by surgeons, but they do not represent a quote for your scalp.
| Norwood stage | Grafts used | Men |
|---|---|---|
| II | 500–1,000 | 15 |
| III | 1,000–1,800 | 63 |
| IV | 1,500–3,300 | 67 |
| V | 1,500–4,000 | 13 |
The source is Wang et al., BMC Surgery 2024, table 2. It covers 158 men treated with FUE.
| Stage V–VII, area covered | Average grafts | Men |
|---|---|---|
| Front only | 2,982 | 308 |
| Front and mid-scalp | 4,164 | 352 |
| Crown only | 2,770 | 24 |
| Full coverage | 6,237 | 100 |
Source: 820 men at stage V–VII, Chouhan et al., J Cutan Aesthet Surg 2019, table 2.
The stage on its own does not decide the number. One study measured the bald areas of two men graded Norwood 3V, who needed 3,900 and 6,150 grafts (Pittella et al., 2024). Any quote offered before your scalp is measured is a guess.
Five points to settle before booking
- Find out who performs each part, including incisions, graft removal and placement. Ask for the names, then look each one up with your state medical board, or check every state at once through DocInfo.
- Request a written plan that lists the graft count, target zones and cost for that count.
- Ask to see patients treated by that clinic at 12 months, under the same light and from the same view. Six to nine months is when most people notice results, and some notice them at 12 (AAD).
- Find out what happens when growth is poor, including whether a second session comes with it and how long that lasts.
- Include the procedure and medicine, plus travel, time off work and follow-up visits, in your first-year total.
